The Adoption Process from A to Z

September 10, 2016 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Free

Are you considering adoption? Have you started the process?

  • Here’s a unique opportunity to learn about fundamentals of the adoption process through a workshop presented by Sally Wildman, a Chicago and Northbrook attorney with more than fifteen years of experience in this field.
  • Prepare yourself as Ms. Wildman distinguishes types of adoption available — agency, private, related, foreign and foster parent — and the many steps required — including homestudy, foster parent licensing, and immigration steps.

Ms. Wildman establishes a framework to help you understand current practices.

  • Identify your best options as Ms. Wildman shares resources on choosing adoption agencies, attorneys, adoption organizations, and related professionals. Discussion concludes by considering common needs of adopted children.
