Cost $10 per person or $15 per couple payable in cash or check at door (waived for current Catholic Charities clients.) Attendees will earn 2 DCFS approved training credit hours.

Guest Speakers
Linda Walsh, NP
Clinical Director University of Chicago Adoption Center, Linda is a family nurse practitioner specializing in pediatric infectious disease. Linda has provided medical care to adoptees for the past 12 years, providing comprehensive trauma informed medical care. Linda utilizes her understanding of the impact of early life adversity on the developing brain to assist foster and adoptive parents in developing the skills needed to help their children flourish.
Shelly Roy, LCSW
Program Coordinator University of Chicago Adoption Center, Shelly is a licensed clinical social worker and an internationally adoptive parent. Shelly has been working with adoptive families professionally for 10 years providing a variety of services including medical case management, family therapy, parent education, and support group facilitation. Shelly’s professional focus is the impact of early life adversity on child behavior, learning, and development.
