Adoption Tax Credit Amendment Filed in Senate This Week

Senators Bob Casey, Jr. (D-PA) and Sherrod Brown (D-OH) filed an amendment that would make the adoption tax credit refundable to the tax extenders markup in the Senate Finance Committee earlier this week. Senator Casey is an original co-sponsor of the Senate’s “Adoption Tax Credit Refundability Act” (S 950) with Senator Roy Blunt (R-MO). While unlikely to be considered germane to the bill, Senator Casey filed the amendment to continue emphasizing this credit is one of his priorities in the committee.
